Mr. Whelchel is a mechanical engineer with over 25 years
of expertise in the field of Automotive Forensic Engineering
and has been intimately involved with the expansion of
Automotive Airbag Event Data Retrieval (the “black boxes”
in cars). He has published technical papers, presented
numerous continuing educational seminars, and conducted
testing in this area. Mr. Whelchel has qualified and testified
in several states in the field of Crash Data Retrieval in both
civil and criminal trials, equally for the plaintiff and defense bars.
